Dear Singers!
Apologies for the delay with my weekly message. I had a very busy week of activities both at school and beyond---just not enough hours in each day! Hard to believe this week is Halloween already! Hopefully, everyone has been diligently working with the existing rehearsal tracks so we can move ahead tomorrow night!
A few quick things to take "note" of:
We will be pulling "Holiday Swing" out of your folders.
We will do our best to replenish folders for those of you with missing music--tomorrow night!
We will be adding a "closer" to sing with Hough for 12/5 performance...easy arrangement of "Peace/Peace-Silent Night"
We will be adding our dedication song for Sandy to the set list, "Christmas Memories"
Please start checking your closets for the following performance attire:
For 11/9 Veterans Day performance: black or dark blue dress pants (no jeans); red/white/or blue shirt/sweater; no hats or t-shirts; coat/jacket depending on weather; comfortable shoes (grass could be wet)
For 11/30 Cornelius Tree Lighting: dark blue or black jeans or dark pants; holiday sweaters; coats (depends on Mother Nature!); Santa/Elf Hats/Reindeer Antlers or red or green or holiday plaid beanies, etc.; comfortable shoes (boots ok)
12/2 dress rehearsal: dress comfortably & be able to provide me w/ the color of your show shirt or wear a casual shirt of that same color! This will help me with staging.
12/5 & 6 performances everyone will need black dress pants OR long black skirts; jewel tone (red, emerald green, bright blue, gold, royal purple) blouses/sweaters/ tops--sparkly/glitzy ok!; comfortable, non-clunky black shoes; no hats or t-shirts. Ladies: don't forget some makeup & bright lips since we will be under stage lights!
For 12/7 performance black dress pants or black skirts or dresses w/tights, black dress shirts or black sweater, red/green or holiday scarf, suspenders, or holiday neck or bow ties; black comfortable shoes;
For any caroling gigs, dark blue or black jeans or dark pants, holiday sweaters or shirts with ties or scarves OR holiday headgear; comfortable shoes
Rehearsal Monday, 10/28--we will end at 8PM so that Veterans Day folks can touch base and the holiday show committee can meet.
See you soon!
HEIDI
