NMCC Noteworthy News 3/10

Hello Singers,

I hope everyone had a better week than I did as I got completely knocked down with a nasty respiratory virus. We will blame it on the kiddos and their germies! and my just being run down.  I finally turned a corner here this weekend and plan to be back in action with y'all tomorrow night! Shout outs and thanks to Sherry & Hugh for stepping in last Monday night! Thanks also for the sweet well wishes and prayers---certainly helped! 

Our set list for the spring show is pretty much complete with the exception of a few pieces that are "features" for small groups. In particular I am looking for a duet to sing the familiar Welsh Tune, "The Ash Grove."  We also need to finalize our tenor/bass feature so stay tuned! 

I know we are still missing some copies of music and Kaleena and her team will be circulating a few more things this week. Also, in the works are a few more rehearsal tracks which will be loaded soon. Thank you for spending the time to use them! 

 St. Patrick's Day 3/17 (NEXT Monday) is a rehearsal night but we may have some shenanigans in the works!

 As mentioned previously, our spring shows will be Friday night, May 16 at HUMC, and Sunday afternoon, May 18 at CIC. Ticket information is coming soon! 

 Our final rehearsal will be Monday, May 12 at HUMC! and we will need everyone there who plans to perform!

 We may also have a "preview" performance earlier in May of some of our set at Bailey's Glen so stay tuned for more info on that! I would also really like to visit some of our community nursing facilities like we did in December so again, be on the lookout for sign-up sheets! 

A few of you have inquired about the Hough HS Spring Musical which is "The Addams Family" which runs from April 3rd - 6th. If you've never been to one of our theatrical productions at Hough, I promise you're in for a fantastic show!  Below is the link to purchase tickets:

We have an invite for the Town of Cornelius Memorial Day Ceremony, which is Monday morning, May 26 at the CAIN Center. If you're interested in this, we will have a sign-up sheet at rehearsal for a small group of singers and must have balanced parts.
