WOW! Two thumbs up is right! Y'all sang your hearts out last night and I hope you have some voices left to do it again tomorrow! So very proud of everyone and I want to thank you for joining me on my vision of our "Celtic Journey." Truly some beautiful singing going on and the joy on your faces says it all!
Tomorrow---we need everyone to pitch in to help. With the change of venue comes a few challenges!
The show committee will need a few extra hands to help set up the risers and stage area. Then we will need some hands to help with stage decorating.
Look for Barbara Kincaid and other friends at 1 PM to start the transformation!
Speaking of Barbara...the stage looked lovely last night!
CALL time for tomorrow is 2PM at Community in Christ. Please come to the Sanctuary first to see where you might be able to lend a hand, and to find your position on the risers.
CONCERT ATTIRE still applies for tomorrow w/your solid greens/blues---looked so pretty with the lighting last night! It will be warm so some of you may want to adjust to something more comfortable still in the color palette!
TAKE NOTE! Due to my required on-stage rehearsal down at the Belk for the Blumeys with my kids, I will be coming in hot for the performance! I will most likely NOT be there for regular warmups so please do a little on your own before arriving. Bill will run point on the band. Barbara on decor. Hugh on risers/chairs. Sherry w/ warmups. Marci with all other front of house things. Thank you to these folks for "making it happen" and to the crew who are moving risers today, too!
I will keep Marci/Sherry in the loop with my ETA. IF I get delayed, the band will start the show with their assortment of fun tunes!
MUSICAL NOTE: Great singing last night! More eyes out of music still needed! Great improvements with diction and dynamics---thank you!
PERFORMANCE IS AT 3PM!
After the show, I will not be able to stick around for hugs and pictures as I have a 6PM call back down at the Belk for the Blumeys! We will hug on Monday night!
ALSO after the show, we will need help breaking everything down. Please stick around to help!
If you are not planning to come to our party Monday night, please look for the bins to return folders and nametags!
If you are singing for Memorial Day, the National Anthem is memorized---see Kaleena if you need a copy to practice with.
Speaking of the Blumey's, I'm off to the Blumenthal for a Director's walk through, orchestra rehearsal, and meeting in prep for tmw night.
See y'all tmw for another fabulous performance!
Thanks again for your warm hearts & superb singing!
