Hi there Singers! Just a quick check in with you on a few things as we roll into another week. Keep rolling along with your rehearsal tracks and paying attention to notes you put in your music. Unfortunately, you won't see me Monday night as I took a pretty bad fall at school during my event on Friday. Never a dull moment! I'll keep you posted after I get "assessed" at Ortho Carolina.
TOMORROW 10/13:
Regular rehearsal time at 6:30 at HUMC and will conclude by 8PM
Hugh cannot get there early & we will need some help with chairs.
The last piece of music will be handed out "Believe"
Sopranos/Altos will do Sectionals with Sherry & Tenors/Basses will do Sectionals with Hugh; please work in your sections for approx. 45 minutes
Sherry & Hugh will then lead a few run thrus of some of those same songs, & then dismiss a little early.
NEXT Monday 10/20 & Monday 10/27 at HUMC:
6-6:3O Patriotic Singers
6:30-8:30 Regular Rehearsal
Saturday 11/1: There is NOT an AM rehearsal.
6:15 call for Patriotic Singers at Bailey's Glen/Cornelius; we will perform for the private party at approx. 6:45PM
Please be sure to sign up on the google form---we will need balanced parts
Attire: Red, White, or Blue DRESS shirts/blouses & black pants or long skirts; ties & scarves are optional (NO JEANS or TSHIRTS please); blazers/jackets/vests are ok but the Clubhouse DOES tend to be a bit warm.
This is a private party so no extra guests please.
Monday 11/3: We may be moving the location due to Election Day set-up--stay tuned!

6:30-8:30 Regular Rehearsal
Saturday 11/8: Town of Huntersville Veterans Day Event---we need as many singers as possible!
Parade begins at 9:30---be advised that main roads will close!
Call time at the stage in Veterans Park is 10:15AM
Ceremony is 11:00 AM
Attire: Same as above but consider a jacket or sweater depending on the weather. Also appropriate shoes for walking in the grass and standing on cement steps are encouraged!

HARMONY CAMP videos:
Last but not least, aside from my fall on Friday, the Harmony Camp event went extremely well. We had over 130 students from Butler, Myers Park, South Meck, & Hough, as well as Voices of the Carolinas and Salem Academy. Our friends from The Gold Standard Chorus sponsored the event. I've attached a video of the combined finale "Come Go With Me" that the kids learned THAT DAY, and one of the 2024 International Barbershop Champion Quartet, Three and a Half Men, for your enjoyment. I was not able to go to "Harmony Gold" on Saturday but hope some of you were able to!
