NOTEWORTHY NEWS 10/4 late arrival!

Hi there friends!

BIG apologies for this late email that I totally forgot about until tonight! Between caregiving (Steve is doing so-so), mid qtr grading/deadlines, some odd bug that hit me out of nowhere, and having my dad here for a visit this weekend---I lost all track of time! I had a very special visit with my dad and his college roommate--I think they've known each other since 1959! And I think we are a little closer to my folks moving closer to me. Definitely a lot ahead of us but I think things are starting to fall into place, and I'll update you soon on all of that! At any rate, I didn't forget about y'all!

Thanks to Marci, we now have a YouTube playlist with the songs for the show:

NMCC 2026 Fall - Making Spirits Bright songs

I will update the list later this week so stay tuned for a few songs that we will be dropping.

For fun, here are the 2 songs from Charlotte Sings!

Charlotte Sings - O America

Charlotte Sings - Will the Circle Be Unbroken

Also, I received the tentative set list for the CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA this morning and it is attached. Please note that STAR of GLORY is on this list. It's exciting, but we need to start working on it. Please review your tracks for that song and any others on the EXTRAVAGANZA set list if you have time before tomorrow night.

Speaking of the XTRAVAGANZA--please help us promote the show & also be sure your family gets tickets! FLIER is attached!

ATTIRE NOTE: With Amazon PRIME this week, I thought you might want to note our upcoming attire requirements for holiday performances.

Everyone will need a black dress shirt and black dress pants or a long black skirt. We will accessorize depending on the performance!

Ladies: dressy black blouse--sequins/sparkles are fine; should have sleeves---no tank tops, camis, or tshirts!

Black palazzo or wide leg flowy pants --no jeans, leggings, or yoga pants.

Men: Black long sleeve dress shirt and Black slacks. No jeans or tshirts.

ALL: black shoes that are comfortable and go with your outfit.  NO boots or clunky heels please.

If you signed up for the VETERANS DAY event, stay tuned for more info & music coming your way NEXT week. On the docket for that event in Huntersville on Saturday 11/14 includes the National Anthem, Tribute to Armed Services, and another song from our patriotic set list TBA. If you'd still like to sing with us, please see Sue and add your name to the list!

See you back at HUMC tomorrow night--6:30PM---regular rehearsal. Please come if you are able to--we are t-minus 2 months away!
