Late Sunday greetings to you-all. Sorry for the delay in posting a message to you this past week but it was a doozy. Many emotional ups and downs with various things at school. Then sadly on Friday, Steve and I had to say farewell to one of our kitties, Dixie who has been dealing with declining diabetes for almost 2 years. She was with me for 14 years and lost her sister in June. Now Roxie (15), the other sister is and will be Queen!
In more positive news:
1) We had a productive rehearsal last Monday and it looks like we have about 64 singers on our roster for this season. We are still recruiting for basses and tenors.
2) Some more of our music arrived and will be given out tomorrow night. Please just keep working with your tracks and we will be doing some sectionals in upcoming rehearsals as well! I will also share some rehearsal notes later this week.
3) REGULAR REHEARSAL tomorrow, Monday 2/23 6:30PM at HUMC
GO TEAM USA!!!!! The Olympics have been SO exciting to watch, but this morning's USA men's hockey win was UNBELIEVABLE!
Thanks for all of the BIRTHDAY wishes I was able to celebrate with my mom and dad this weekend up in Virginia. Mom and I share the same birthday (2/18), and dad's is this week on the 26th. We enjoyed lunch and an ice cream cake together today in the middle of yet another snowstorm! Steve & I made it safely back to Troutman tonight. Just wild that when we left Friday it was 75 degrees, and this afternoon/tonight we drove through and terrible winds to get back over the mountains. Looking forward to seeing you-all tmw night! Stay warm!
