Noteworthy News 4/27

Hello to all!

Feels odd to not be together tonight but also a nice break on this gorgeous evening! I hope you enjoy it as much as I am! 

Congrats on yet another outstanding performance yesterday at Huntersville Veterans Park! Our audience was smallish but appreciative, and included Huntersville Mayor Christy Clark, two Commissioners, and a rep from the Citizen so we will hopefully get some positive press from that. Sorry a few of you were feeling under the weather and weren't able to join us.The wind, along with the fresh, stinky mulch, was challenging, but y'all did a great job. I really do hope we can do another outdoor NMCC concert in the future---great way to gain visibility in the community!

Special shout-outs again to our talented instrumentalists who really help make your vocals shine! Sherry, Bill, Chris, Ellie, & Jen...thank you! 

Thank you again to everyone who pitched in to help bring "Of Thee We Sing" full circle. This was a season of challenges and I so appreciate everyone's patience and team spirit in pulling everything together! You should all be very proud of the MUSICAL achievements and growth that were also made! 

We have some celebrating to do NEXT Monday, 5/4 at Neoteric Brewery in Huntersville. We are also aiming to host a get together over the summer so stay tuned for details. If you are not singing Hello Huntersville and/or Memorial Day, please bring your music, scarf/tie, nametag to turn in.

A few things:

  • Attire for the next two events, and anything else that might pop up in June/July, will be the same as "Of Thee We Sing."

  • Set lists will be sent out as soon as we find our sign up sheets  and I have a chance to check our section balances.

  • Call time for Sunday 5/4 Hello Huntersville is 3:00---we sing at 3:45 in the parking lot by the restrooms at Huntersville Veterans Park. More details as I receive them.

  • Memorial Day in Cornelius on 5/25--call time is 9AM--ceremony at 10AM. Additional rehearsal TBD.

  • Calendar dates for next season are in progress. We WILL start again August 17!
